Anastasia Cassella-Young was born in Bar Harbor, Maine.  She currently lives in a little town called Cherryfield.  She has been a serious author since 1986 with, of course, some writing done in high school.  She left college to get married and travel.  She returned to Maine with her son and is re-married.  Ms. Cassella-Young is now disabled, but she writes poems and short stories.

Poetry and short stories, for her, are full of emotions, feelings and experiences.  She enters all of these into each poem-romance, confusion, abuse, beauty, love for pets, love for people and actual dreams.  Therapists recommend journaling.  Anastasia maintains her journals in poetry and short story formats.  She wrote her first piece in 1986 when her father passed.  Since then, numerous events have taken place in her life and been unearthed during therapy.  Poetry and short stories are emotional for her and each emotion is in a poem or short story.  It is her hope that readers find solace, understanding and knowledge within the pages of her books. Anastasia is a professional editor and book reviewer. To request editing or a review go to the 'Services' page.
